Inspiration
Inspiration is a system describing moments of awesomeness displayed by a PC, due to their situation resonating with some fundamental tenet of their character, resulting in a momentary advantage.
- Aspects, Aspirations, Destiny
- Aspects are something like "I can't stand by while bullies pick on the innocent" or "I'll never pass up an opportunity to learn secrets".
- Aspirations are statements like "I will one day get revenge on the man who wronged me" or "I will learn the forbidden Arts denied me by the White Tower".

Freeform Magic
You can use your spellcasting ability to create any effect in line with your existing power knowledge. However, failure (or mixed sucess) on the necessary skill check can have consequences.

PC Stake in the Narrative
Each PC can do a thing where they modify the narrative in some way. Examples:
- They happen to have a contact who might offer useful information pertinent to the current quest
- They have a connection to the villain
- They happened to prepare a piece of equipment useful in the current situation
- An ally arrives in the nick of time to assist the PCs
When this happens, they incur a debt to the DM, who now holds a token which can be used in the same manner, at the DM's discretion, to further the goals of the antagonists.
Additionally, PCs can modify the narrative without fear of debt when it is not to the advantage of their current quest.

- Challenge level: TBD (something something hard mode)
- Changes to mundane skills to work more like PbtA
- Mixed success / hard moves / XP from failure
